Obituary of Harry Spencer Anderson

Harry Spencer Anderson was born on September 17, 1962 in Buckingham County, Virginia. He was the 7th child of Lewis and Annie Anderson. Spencer departed this life on March 9th, 2011.
Spencer was baptized at early age at the Petersville Baptist Church, New Canton, Va. He attended the Cumberland Virginia Public School. He later moved to New Jersey where he worked and resided with his brother Lewis. He returned to Virginia to marry Irene Brown. Even though they divorced, Irene remained a dear friend to the Anderson family.
Spencer was given the name "HARRY HIPPIE", by Kevin Liggins from song "Harry Hippie" by the R&B singer Bobby Womack back in the early 1970's. Later shorten to just "HIPPIE" as it now stands.
Many people never knew the names of his siblings, but because of the family resemblances, They were all known as "Hippie's sister and/or "Hippie's brother. You didn't have to see his face but you would know it was him as you're riding along and see someone waving. He was known for waving and greeting everyone.
He leaves to cherish his memories: His parents Dea. Lewis and Rev Annie Anderson of Cumberland, Va.; His siblings all of New Jersey; Brothers: Edward & Lewis Anderson (Robyn); His Sisters: Ida Anderson; Jennie Mitchell (Arthur); Agnes Anderson (Rahmaan); Annastelle James (Tony) & Veronica Ellis (Michael). Grandparents, Joe & Ida Clark of Danielson, CT, and His beloved Great-Aunt whom he cherished as his grandmother Carrie Carter of Richmond, Va., One Uncle Richard Carter (Ella), and four Aunts, Vernade Anderson & Delores Liggins of Virginia; Louise Nelson & Christelle James of NJ.; Nine nieces and nephews and 15 great-nieces and nephews. God-brothers: Don Hatcher and Robert Cooper; many other relatives, step-nieces & nephews, and a host of friends.
Harry Spencer "Hippie" Anderson a son, a brother, an uncle and friend. The family circle has been broken but he will never be forgotten.
