Obituary of Vivian Lee Mead - Arthur
Please share a memory of Vivian to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Vivian Lee Meads was born to Horace Lee Meads and Eva Marie Stancil on May 21, 1945, in Richmond, Virginia.
Vivian attended school in Henrico County. Following school, she moved to California, a state of which she was very fond. She enjoyed the beach and the ocean.
Vivian held several jobs over her lifetime. She worked as a bartender and a Go-Go dancer. She also found work as a movie extra. She appeared in three films: The Fan with Robert DeNiro and Wesley Snipes, Volcano with Tommy Lee Jones and Vivica Fox (Vivian was holding the snake in the scene, but viewers never saw her face), Why do Fools Fall in Love – The Frankie Lymen Story with Hallie Barry & Vivica Fox ( Vivian had a three second shot of her in a department store with a beehive hairdo and smoky glasses and a long coat next to a clothes rack).
Vivian and her former husband collected baseball cards and owned a baseball card shop in Garden Grove, CA. However, she spent the last several years of retirement as a homemaker.
She also loved nature and had quite a collection of assorted animals, including two rottweiler's, ducks, a cow, four cats, and a little wild starling bird.
Vivian enjoyed cooking, M & M animated characters, clowns, traveling, attending swap meets, and collecting Pluto paraphernalia. She especially enjoyed decorating for Christmas.
Vivian departed this life on October 22, 2023. She was preceded in death her parents, sister, Madge Marie Wood, and numerous other family members.
Vivian leaves to cherish loving memories, her husband of thirty years, Daniel Allen Arthur, other relatives, and friends.
