Obituary of Kerney Bruce Brown

Kerney Bruce Brown, lovingly known to some as "Buck" was born on March 27, 1951 in Buckingham, Virginia. Kerney was the third child born to Kerney and Marion S. Brown. Kerney attended Buckingham County Public Schools. At an early age, he was baptized and joined Baptist Union Baptist Church. Residing in Charlottesville, VA the majority of his life, Kerney held numerous positions after retiring from Conagra Foods. Being an avid lover of everything on wheels, Kerney owned several antique cars and was a member of the Ebony and Ivory Street Riders Car Club and other clubs. His amazing vehicles earned him several trophies and awards. His hobbies included listening to music and traveling. Kerney departed this life Sunday June 12, 2022 at Albemarle Health and Rehab in Charlottesville, VA. Kerney is preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to cherish his memories: six children, Quinton Mays, Latrice Bland, Travis Bland, Kerney "Bud" Brown, Kayla Douglas (Ronnie) and Ben Lawson; sixteen grandchildren, Ke'Allen, Khalil, T'Keyah, Ka'veigh, Ja'Kirrah, Ayden, Ashton, Alianna, Aalijah, Atiaja, Jeremiah, Nyla, Kayron, Ronzell, Koerra and Ronan; partner, Arlene Rose and bonus children, Stacy Williams, James Williams and Binta Rose; siblings, Carrie Booker (Burley), Katie Tyree (John), Marion Scott, Katherine Moore (Russell), Sharon Madison, Solomon Brown and Alice Randolph (Steve); two aunts; Bettie Brown and Alice Gregory; uncle, Percy "Elmo" Brown (Lucy) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Also cherishing Kerney's memories are two special friends, Louis Anderson and cousin, Delma Woodson.
