Obituary of Murray Franklin Trent

Murray Franklin Deion Roosevelt Trent, Jr. was born January 25th, 1934, to the late Murray and Florence Trent in Cumberland Virginia.
He entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 18th, 2021.
Franklin received the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age, was baptized and became a member of Reed Rock Baptist Church in Amelia, VA. He served faithfully as a member of the trustee board. He was united in holy matrimony to Pauline Hill on December 25, 1956.
He was employed in the logging industry for numerous years. He was also a skilled carpenter, mechanic, and farmer. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Friends and family knew him as "Speedo" for his love of fast cars.
He loved praising the Lord and his favorite song was "The Little Wooden Church on the Hill." His favorite scripture was Psalm 23.
Franklin was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Allen, and one brother, Phillip Trent, and three sisters, Lillian Montague, Nancy Trent, and Pansy Booker.
He leaves cherished memories with his wife, Pauline of 65 years. He also leaves one son; Pastor Samuel Trent, four daughters; Pastor Sandra Gray (Everett), Pastor Paulette Woodson (David), Pastor Doris Yarborough (Gary), Arlean Johnson (Arthur), and one son in law, Adolphus Allen. He also leaves fourteen grandchildren; DeCarlo Gray (Angelina), Sterling Gray (Avrian), Darryl Trent, Sr. (Jennifer), Michael Gray (Melissa), Ashley Smith (Micah), Eric Trent, Markee Johnson, Braxton Trent, Jewel Yarborough, Ruby Yarborough, Gary Yarborough, Jr., Deion Gray, Diamond Yarborough, and Caleb Trent, five great grandchildren; Amari Gray, Darius Gray, Lydia Gray, Isaac Gray, and Darryl Trent Jr. Additional memories are left with sister, Iola Bartee, sisters in-law; Beulah Trent and Sally Sanderson, and brothers in-law; Jake (Katherine) and Glenn Hill, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
Special thanks to Sheila Conner, Frances Montague, Frank Payne, and Felicia Carter for their dedication of love to Franklin. In addition, to everyone who contributed or helped, the family says thank you.
