The Hawthorne Cancer Foundation on the campus of Johnston-Willis Hospital would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Carol. She was well known to all of us at The Hawthorne as she had such a spirited presence and knew no strangers. Our volunteers were most fond of Carol and her ability to engage with everyone in the center always! Though we are saddened of this news, we are grateful for having been a part of her life and trust that she now rests in eternal peace.
