Obituary of Dorothy Loveline Foster
Dorothy "Mama Lean" Foster, daughter of the late Percy Brown and Willie Maude Scruggs Brown, was born on November 19, 1921 in Buckingham, Virginia.
"Mama Lean," as she was affectionally known to many, attended Petersville School. She gave her life to Christ at an early age, baptized and joined Petersville Baptist Church in New Canton where she served as a door keeper for the Lord for fifty years.
She was married to the love of her life, Otis Foster, for over 50 years and joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Cumberland, Virginia. She continued to serve the Lord, until her health began to decline. At that time, "Mama Lean" was recognized as an Honorary Member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
She worked various jobs during her lifetime. "Mama Lean" was a true woman of God, loving, kindhearted and a blessing to all. She enjoyed cooking and watching game shows. Most of all she loved her family.

No More Tears Beyond the Gate
Someone new has entered, our eternal home above!
The Heavenly gate has opened wide, to welcome the one you love.
We cannot help the tears that fall, our hearts need time to grieve.
When earthly life has ended, and a loved one had to leave.
Yet, even in the saddest... we know our Savior lives.
And we can trust completely in the promise that He gives.
Someday, in a glad reunion with the Lord, our loved ones wait...
To welcome us eith joy and no more tears beyond the gate!
