Obituary of Leroy Hampton

Leroy "Booch" Hampton, Jr. was born in Richmond, Virginia on September 16, 1972 to Orene and Leroy Hampton, Sr. He was educated in the Cumberland County Public School system where he graduated in 1990. At an early age he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at New Hope Baptist Church. Booch was a loving and giving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. Many knew him for his fly gear, amazing music collection, loud and raspy voice, and his kind heart. He was also a huge Steelers and UVA fan. Booch entered eternal rest peacefully on June 17, 2019 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. Booch leaves loving memories to be cherished by his dad and mom, Leroy and Orene Hampton Sr.; his three children, Totsyania Hampton, Daquan Trent, and MaKayla Hampton; three step-sons, Jaylen, Jordan, and Josiah; three grandchildren, Jade, Chris, and Zaidyn; sister, Angela H. Samuels; three nieces, Shamonaca Johnson (Doron), Iesha and Kiara Samuels; one great nephew, two great nieces, one uncle, Melvin Hampton (Marian) and one aunt Phyllis Washington (Frank); and a host of loving relatives and friends.
