Geneva Morris-Trent, 72, daughter of the late William Henry Morris and Ruth Carter Morris was born October 6, 1946 in Powhatan County, Virginia. Geneva was baptized and joined New Hope Baptist Church, as an adult. She attended public schools in New Jersey and in Powhatan County, Virginia. After leaving school, Geneva was joined in wedlock and started her family, as well as maintaining self-employment and working for the University of Richmond, for many years. On March 21, 1964, Geneva was joined in wedlock to Gable Trent, Jr. throughout their 58 years together and 55 years of marriage, Gable was a devoted husband, father and family man. He loves and cherishes his wife, children and family. Geneva was loved dearly by everyone she encountered, and she never met a stranger. she was a "Plain Jane", but she loved doing word puzzles and having long, loving conversations with her grandson, Larry, Jr. She enjoyed the outdoors and would sit out under the tree for hours, except when her soap operas, Jeopardy, The Price is Right, or Wheel of Fortune was on TV. She was a loving person and confidant to many, no matter what time day or night. She will truly be missed. On Friday, June 14, 2019, Geneva departed this life at Vibra Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruth Morris; one brother, Royal Lee Morris; one sister, Linda Mae Garrant; her Aunt, Jessie Brown; and a host of other family members and loved ones. She leaves many to cherish fond memories: her husband, Gable Jr.; one son, Gabriel III (Delores); three daughters, Patricia Foster (Mack), Gisela Gaskin (Joseph) and Pandora Trent (Quentin); 12 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Johnson; two brothers, Charles "Chew" Morris (Laverne) and William Morris; five sister's-in-law, Ethel Mae Daniels (Nelson), Rebecca "Emma" Young (Jerome), Caroline Morris, Michelle "Shelley" Banks (Augustus) and Brenda Jones (Thomas); three brother's-in law, Danny Trent (Carrie), William Trent, Ronnie Trent (Christy) and Lloyd Garrant; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. "God Knew Best!" I won't question Him. Through the tears of sorrow and despair, We must know that He makes no mistakes. We have to cherish the memories and hold on to them. As I kiss your cheek, to say "see you later", The times you made me laugh, the times you made me cry, you yelled, and you showed me the love of a grandmother. I will always cherish you! Rest eternally my sweet Nana. I will love you always! -Your O'Mar
