James Joshua Booker was born in Cumberland County, Virginia to the late Clarence and Judy Frances Davenport Booker on March 21, 1937.
James was a faithful member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church where he attended until his failing health. He enjoyed church, music, singing, spending time with his family and friends and was kind to everyone who knew him.
Josh was blessed with the ability to appreciate all the good things in his life and maintained a positive attitude through all his challenges.
On Thursday, November 29, 2018 James Joshua Booker passed away at Petersburg Healthcare Center Petersburg, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Queenie.
He is survived by his brother George Lewis Booker (Dorothy); cousins, nieces, nephews, and many close friends.
