Obituary of Deborah Brown Hatcher

Deborah Brown Hatcher, a daughter of Helen Singleton Brown and the late Harvey Brown was born February 15, 1952 in Freeport, New York.
She attended Westbury High School in New York graduating with the class of 1970.
After school she was employed with Nassau County Medical Center for over ten years.
In 1984 she moved to Monticello, Virginia where she resided with her parents. After moving to Virginia she joined Springfield Baptist Church in Palmyra, Va. There she served on the Senior Choir Ministry and The United Voices Gospel Choir where she served as President.
On November 20, 2004 she was joined in wedlock to Deacon Don Hatcher. She then moved her membership to Pleasant View Baptist Church in Columbia, Va. Where she sang with the Mass Choir Ministry, The Senior Choir Ministry, Leader of The Praise Team Ministry and Deaconess Ministry.
Deborah loved her family and close friends. She adored Rev. & Mrs.Keven Caleb. Rev. & Mrs. Victor William of Springfield Baptist Church was admired and respected by Deborah. Deborah and Pastor William had a special hand shake; that only those two did. She loved downloading gospel music lyrics off of the internet. She was a child of God who always wore a smile, and a wonderful personality.
On Friday, October 1,2010 Buckingham County, Va. she was called home to be with her Heavenly Father.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Mikhail Brown.
Memories of her will always be cherished by her beloved husband, Deacon Don Hatcher of Cumberland; her mother, Helen Brown; 2 sons,Nicolas Brown and Michael Brown; 4 grandchildren, Nitrius, Michael,Jr.,Iyanla, and Keith; step-grandchildren, Michael Stanton and Amani L.Stanton; 1 brother, Harvey Brown,Jr.; 2 sisters, Paulette Parsons (Elijah) and Peggy Carter (Quentin); mother-in-law, Ruth Hatcher; a sister-in-law, Gladys Hatcher (John) and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
