Obituary of Billy Gill Trent

Billy Gill Trent, a son of the late Gabriel Trent and Ethel Florene Hampton Trent was born in Cumberland County, Virginia on April 9, 1957.
At an early age he was converted baptized and joined New Hope Baptist Church in Cartersville.
He attended the public schools in Cumberland County graduating with the class of 1975.
His places of employment included, Beaumont Correctional Center for a number of years and later as a construction worker.
Billy was a soft spoken, kind hearted person who had no children of his own, but had a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him dearly. He loved sports but his greatest love was football.
On Sunday, January 24, 2010 he departed this life at Retreat Hospital, in Richmond, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Polly, Martha and Ruth; one brother, John.
He leaves to cherish fond memories four brothers, Gabriel Trent (Geneva), Danny Trent (Carrie), William Trent (Tammy) and Ronnie Trent; four sisters, Ethel Daniels (a devoted brother-in- law, Nelson), Rebecca Trent, Caroline Morris, Michelle Banks (Augustus); five aunts, Dorothy Kirby, Shirley Smith, Elsie Trent, Kate Trent and Mary E. Trent; five uncles, RaleighTrent (Ann), Abraham Trent, Joe Trent (Polly), Leroy Hampton (Orene) and Melvin Hampton (Marion); one brother-in-law, John Sims; number of nieces, one devoted, Amesha; nephews, one devoted, Jamandia; cousins and friends.
