Obituary
Obituary of Corey A Pervall
Please share a memory of Corey to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Corey Anthony Pervall was born to John and Maple Pervall on
August 29, 1969 at Southside Community Hospital in Farmville, Virginia.
He was reared in a home with lots of love and affection.
At an early age, Corey confessed Christ as his Savior, was
baptized, and joined Rocky Mounty Baptist Church. As a child, he
attended Cumberland County Public Schools where he graduated with the
class of 1987. After graduation, he moved to Norfolk, Virginia and worked
in construction. While there, he attended Calvary Baptist Church under
the leadership of Dr. Courtney McBetha. Shortly after returning home,
he later resided in Richmond, Virginia where he started his own Janitorial
Service (C.A.P.S.).
He was a devoted son, grandson, a stylist and fashionable person
who wore a bright and full smile to set it off. He was a true and devoted
person who would help anyone in need. Even when he was tired and in
pain he never complained.
On Wednesday, January 17, 2018, he departed this life in
Cumberland, Virginia at his mother's residence.
He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, John and Maple
Pervall; a daughter, Shaleta Pervall; grandmother, Susie Langhorne;
granddaughter, Sophia Pervall; four aunts, Deloris Hayes (Jessie), Betty
Perkins (John), Ruth Hampton and Gracie Pervall; six uncles, Anderson
Pervall, Walter Langhorne, Lester Langhorne, George Langhorne (Mary),
Wayne Langhorne and Charles Langhorne; cousins, other relatives and
friends.
"Wings of an Eagle"
In the darkness of my shadow, I share no more pain within myself.
I am left to fly high into eternity on the wings of an eagle, with no one else.
I spare those that I love, leaving behind beautiful memories of me,
Flying high into my Savior's sky, just sitting on the wings of an eagle.
Aw, sweet serenity.
I can see beautiful flowers like a garden of springtime plants.
On the wings of an eagle, I fly at the open gate of heaven.
Here, Lord, I stand.
I arrived by way of air. Praise God, I was not alone.
On the wings of an eagle, I was brought safely to your home.
As I look down, I can see hurt, pain, and misery.
Share no tears, just rejoice; remember I am now free.
I will be waiting for you at heaven's gate; one day we will be hand and hand.
Come by way of the wings of an eagle, traveling the sea, air, and land.
