Obituary of Valaria Renee' Lewis

Valeria R. Lewis, affectionately known as "Nudie" and a daughter of Harvey R. Lewis Jr. and the late Carrie B. Lewis, was born November 26, 1965 in Columbia, Virginia. She received her formal education through the public schools of Cumberland County. At an early age, she was baptized and joined Little Fork Baptist Church. She worked for VDOT, Postal Service, and The Envoy at the Village Nursing Home up until she became ill. Many years and hours were rendered as she worked hard to provide for her family. She was truly a blessing to everyone that she met with her bright smile. She was very kind-hearted and a very giving person. She loved to listen to gospel music. Her favorite saying was "don't never say bye say see you later." Peacefully, she departed this life on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Golden Living of Alleghany, Clifton Forge, Virginia. Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Jessica Lewis and Darren Lewis; father: Harvey Lewis Jr.; two grandchildren: Christopher Wimmer Jr. and Jalen Wimmer; six brothers: Richard Lewis, Andrew "Peewee" Jackson, James Jackson Jr. , Larry Lewis, David Jackson, and Willie Jackson; three uncles: James Lewis (Lillian), Joe Lewis (Ann), Pernell Johnson; two aunts: Helen Griffin and Josephine Geddies; two devoted nephews: Lamont Clark and Sherard Clark; two devoted friends: John Brown and Pamela Mayo; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Nudie is now enjoying the pleasures of Heaven with her mom Carrie Lewis and her only sister Mary Kippin.may you all rest in peace and have a blessed reunion!
