Obituary of Louise Rebecca Booker

Louise Rebecca Crump Booker, was born to Delilah Hobson and George Crump on December 14, 1934 in Cumberland County, Virginia; where she also graduated from school. At an early age, she accepted Christ and was baptized into fellowship of Center Union Baptist Church, where her membership remained. She was an active and faithful member of the church until her health began to fail. Louise married Isaac Booker in 1951. From this union they had four sons. Louise was employed at Craddock Terry as a shoe seamstress, a cook for Cumberland Restaurant and DC Lane. She had a love for cooking, as well as talking to family and friends. On Wednesday Louise transitioned from labor to rest at UVA in Charlottesville, VA. She preceded in death her husband, Isaac Booker, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She leaves fond memories to be cherished by her four sons, Isaac Jr. (Geneva), James (Joyce), George (Edith), and Alfred Booker; nine grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 1great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, two devoted cousins – Alease Phillips and James Miles; three others that were daughters she never had, Earlene Brown, Deloris Langhorne and Kate Trent; and many friends, three devoted, John Trent (Shirley), Floyd Trent, Jr. (Lottie) and William Brown (Diane). She had a devoted caregiver: Candace Jackson.
