Roger Edward Perkins was born December 24, 1954 to Daisy Caroline Harris and James Edward Perkins in Cartersville, VA.
At an early age Roger, joined the New Hope Baptist Church in Cartersville. He was educated at New Hope School in Cartersville and Woodrow Wilson School in Stanton, VA. Roger worked as a laborer doing odd jobs.
He was loved by everyone whom he came in contact with. He will be missed by his friends and community.
He departed this life on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Chippendale Retirement Center in Richmond, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
He leaves to cherish his memory: sister, Mary L. Jones; nephew, Cornelius; niece, DeAundra; two aunts, Martha Snead and Rose Smith; along with many cousins.
