Mrs. Scott was educated at Bonbrook School in Cumberland. She was employed with the Cumberland Restaurant for many years.
Mrs. Scott was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church, Cumberland, Virginia where she served on the Usher Board Ministry for over fifty years; only stepping aside in failing health.
