Obituary of Lenwood Lango

Lenwood Lango was born in Sandersville, Georgia on September 27, 1939 to the late Lonnie and Rosetta Hodges Lango. Lenwood left Georgia at an early age bound for Patterson, New Jersey where he was united in holy matrimony to the late Dorothy Fairley. To this union two children were born; 1 son, Michael Douglas Lango; 1 daughter, Lynda Lango. In 1986, he met and married Florence Allen. They resided in Passaic, New Jersey until April 1997. They then relocated to Virginia making their home in Buckingham County, Virginia. Lenwood was a dedicated employee and among his memorable employments were International Telephone and Telegraph (ITT) in Nurly, New Jersey. His most recent retirement was from UVA Health South Rehabilitation Hospital at Fontaine Research Park in Charlottesville, Virginia. Lenwood loved and served well as Deacon and Sunday School Teacher at Dillwyn Holy Temple. Our Heavenly Father called him from earth to glory on May 13, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister. In addition to his loving wife, Florence; two children, Michael and Lynda; two godchildren, Paree Freeman of Passaic, NJ and Patina Freeman of McLeansville, NC; six grandchildren, one great grandchild; four brothers, Mitchell Lango (Rosetta), Marion, Crawford, and Docy; 3 sisters, Minnie Walker, Julia Copeland and Rosetta Hall; 1 brother-in-law, Benjamin Hilliard; five sisters-in-law, Lorraine Gray (Thomas), Barbara Shaw, Theresa Payne, Francyne Pittman (Grady) and Regina Lane; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; four devoted, Deacon & Mrs. James Bolden, Doris Bolden, and Shirley Lee.
