Obituary of Linda M.E. Allen

Linda M. E. Allen was born in Allendale, South Carolina on November 2, 1952 to Robert Owens and Thomasina Gaston Owens. She attended and graduated from Barringer High School in Newark, New Jersey. After high school Linda went on to continue her education at Drake Business School in Elizabeth, New Jersey. November 5, 1988 Linda married her love, Aurelius C. Allen. In the same year, the couple confessed Christ together at Love of Jesus Church in Orange, New Jersey. During her stay there, she was on the Choir Ministry, Intercessory Prayer Ministry, and the Phone Ministry. While in New Jersey, she was employed with EE & C Financial Service. Linda wasn't much of an outdoor person but she did enjoy playing softball and volleyball but most of all grilling. In 1998, the couple moved back to Virginia. Linda worked for several different companies before finding her place at the Department of Taxation. Also, she began to worship at New Life Assembly of God Church in Farmville, Virginia. On Wednesday, February 13, 2013 Linda entered into eternal life in Lynchburg, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her mother and two brothers, Larry and David Owens. She leaves her love to be cherished by: her husband, Aurelius; father, Robert Owens; two step-children, Demond (Stacey), Michael (Janet) Allen; eight step - grandchildren; one sister, Loretta Chase (William); two aunts, Laurmisha Phillips and Mamie V. Kelley; one great-aunt, Frances Gaston; three sisters-in-law, Margie Mitchel (Ronnie), Helena Berry, and Cleopatra Green; four brothers-in-law, Joe C. Allen, Sr. (Mary), Clarence Allen (Veda), Francell Allen (Linda), and Ronnie Johnson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, two devoted, Barbara Johnson and Teresa Carneal
