Winnie Swann Scruggs, a daughter of the late Clarence Edward Swann and Pearline Hill Swann was born August 10, 1942 in Albemarle County, Virginia.
She attended schools in Buckingham County, Virginia.
At an early age, she was baptized and joined Ridge Way Baptist Church in Dillwyn, Virginia.
Winnie was a homemaker that enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.
On, Tuesday, February 12, 2013 Winnie departed this life at her home in Buckingham County. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, brothers, and one grandson, Jamar Scruggs.
She lives to cherish her memories to: 1 daughter, Barbara Scruggs (Roland); 4 sons, Michael (Dolly), Neal (Josephine), Vernard (Anita) and Lionel Scruggs; 14 grandchildren, 3 devoted, Michael, Damian and Wendy; 6 great- grandchildren; 1 sister, Edith Tyree (Edward), 1 sister-in-law, Alberta Swann; 1 brother-in-law, Zack Brown and numerous nieces, 1 devoted, Minnie Brooks, nephews, cousins, and friends, 1 devoted, Maxcine Cox
