Obituary of Carrie Bell Carter

Carrie Blaine Carter, the youngest of nine children and daughter of the late Jake and Alice Blaine, was born September 14, 1914 in Buckingham County, VA.
Her formal education was received in Petersville Public Schools in Buckingham County, VA.
Upon confession of her faith in Christ, she became a member of the Petersville Baptist Church, where she served as a Deaconess, Pastor Aid, Missionary Board, Member of the Senior Choir, Sunday School Teacher and Rescue Club.
At an early age she was united in holy matrimony to Richard Spencer Carter, Sr., who preceded her in death. Carrie was a loving and caring person; she touched many lives and loved everyone.
Peacefully, at the age of 98, she departed this earthly life on Sunday, Septemer 16, 2012 at the Henrico Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Richmond, VA.
Those left to retain fond memories of the life of Carrie Blaine Carter are her devoted, caring and loving son, Richard Spencer Carter, Jr. (wife, Ella); two grandchildren, Richard III and Sheena; four great grandchildren; step-daughter, Annie Anderson (husband, Lewis); seven step-grandchildren; five nieces, Alice, Doloris, Ida, Betsy and Winnie; one reared great nephew, Melvin Flippen; devoted great niece, Carol Allen; other great nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
