Bessie Mack Miles peacefully entered into eternal life on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Midlothian, Va.
Bessie Miles was born October 6, 1917 in Powhatan County, Virginia to Ida and Nathaniel Mack.
She attended the public schools in Powhatan, Virginia. At an early age, she joined Mt. Pero Baptist Church where she served on the choir ministry. She loved to sing for the lord, she then joined the Mt. Zion Senior Choir Ministry. She loved her church and served faithfully until her passing.
On august 1, 1935 Bessie met and married Wilson Miles. From this union God blessed them with five daughters.
Bessie was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She really enjoyed time spent with her family, Senior Connections and Church Family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years Wilson Miles; daughters, Eva Powell and Bessie Chapman; granddaughter, Lisa Watts.
She leaves to cherish fond memories her daughters, Dorothy Sims (Howard), Beatrice Watts and Ida Miles; six grandchildren, Deborah and Yvette Sims, Renay Green, kelvin Watts (Judy), Sharonda Goods and Razi Miles (Mia); 13 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren; a sister, Viola Criss (Bernard); son-in-law, Joe Williams; brother-in-law, Andrew Miles; sister-in-law, Mary Jones; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She will be greatly missed, we loved her but God loved her best. Bessie Miles well done, thy good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of the Lord.
