Obituary of Gracie Virginia Deane

Gracie Virginia Deane, a daughter of the late Carey Taylor and Caroline Johnson Taylor, was born in Cartersville, VA on January 8, 1932. She attended the public schools in Cumberland County, VA. She was baptized and joined New Hope Baptist Church. Gracie married John Henry Deane, and from this union one son was born. She loved to take care of people, especially her loving grandchildren. To know her was to love her. She will be missed by her family and friends. On Sunday, January 29, 2012, she departed this life in Farmville, VA. She leaves to cherish fond memories; her husband, John Henry Deane; one devoted son, Henry Deane, (Amanda); two grandchildren, Christopher and Chelsea; a step son, John Henry Mayo; a step daughter, Doris Mayo Charity (Walker); a sister-in-law Annie Johnson, and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
