Nellie Brooks was born to Kitty Brooks on July 2, 1918 in Cumberland, Virginia.
She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Columbia, Virginia.
Nellie was employed as a domestic worker.
She was preceded in death by her mother and one son, Curtis Brooks.
For a number of years she had been in failing health and departed this life on Saturday, January 14 at her home in Columbia, Virginia.
She leaves to cherish her memories, four sons, Edward Brooks (Ida), Thomas Brooks, Carl Brooks and Rufus Brooks; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
