Obituary of Virginia B Crawley

Virginia B. Crawley, a daughter of the late John Jasper Brown and Mary Lee Crump Brown was born February 10, 1923 in Powhatan County, Virginia.
At an early age Virginia was converted, baptized and joined Mt. Pero Baptist Church where her membership remains. She attended and was a watch care member of the Mt. Herman Baptist Church in Richmond.
Jenny B. as she was affectionately known, received her formal education in the Powhatan County Public Schools.
Later she moved to Richmond, Virginia. Where she was gainfully employed. While there she met and married, Douglas Crawley, whom preceded her in death.
On Friday, December 9, 2011 she departed this life at the home of her nephew, James and his wife, Roberta who provided her with undying love and care.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; three sisters, Louise, Mary Elsie and Pauline; two brothers, Hatcher and John Brown, Jr.; three nephews, Arthur Bagby, Jr., Hatcher Brown, Jr., and Theodore Irvin Owens.
She leaves to remember with love and cherished memories: a sister, Leenell Owens; a foster sister, Queen Walker; two nephews, James (Roberta) and Ronald; four nieces, Lucille (Robert), Queen (Edward), Gail (Kenny) and Mary; a host of great nieces and nephews covering five generations. The last of which she got to hold is one month old; numerous cousins and friends.
