Marie G. Holman was born on December 25, 1922 in Bluefield, West Virginia to the late David and Sarah Glover.
On Sunday July 3, 2011 our beloved Marie slipped into eternal peace.
Marie was educated in Bluefield, West Virginia. Early in her career she was employed at Kennedy Krieger
Institute in Baltimore, MD; later in her career she was employed at CPAC in Cumberland, VA.
Marie accepted Christ at an early age; she attended Mt. Nebo Baptist Church and once she was married she became a faithful member of Ridgeway Baptist Church, where she was a choir member and worked as a missionary until her health no longer allowed her to fully serve, she was also a member of multiple combined choirs. When she was no longer able to attend church services Marie had church with whoever was near. Marie loved to share the gospel and the love of Jesus Christ.
Marie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved to call on the name of Jesus. Marie could be found at any time of the day in praise and worship. Lovingly she instilled the love of God upon everyone that came into her path.
Marie loved and enjoyed caring for her family, singing, sewing, cooking & baking, taking care of her home, gardening and encouraging the hearts of family and friends.
Marie leaves to cherish her memory four daughters: Anne Louise Dawson (VA), Lonie Cooper (MD), Shirley Clark (VA), and Zelda Pollock (VA); one son David Holman (MD) and two sons in laws: James Pollock and Henry Dawson; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
